Dwabeng Gets 2 Unit Classroom Block

The Minister for Tourism Arts and Culture Mrs. Barbara Oteng-Gyasi who doubles as the Member of Parliament (MP) for Prestea Huni-Valley Constituency on Monday 4th January 2020 commissioned a 2-unit Kindergarten block at Dwabeng in the Western Region.

The building has two classrooms, a dining hall, washroom, kitchen, toilet, staff common room, a mechanized borehole, and a storeroom.

The Ceremony was graced by the Nananom, Municipal Chief Executive, Municipal coordinating Directors, Heads of the various Departments as well as parents and teachers.

The Odikro of Dwabeng Nana Asante II expressed his gratitude to the Member of Parliament (MP) and the government of Ghana for the kind gesture.

He pleaded with the MP to help build a teacher’s quarters for the community and also asked the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) to help the community complete the Community Center under construction.

The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Dr. Isaac Dasmani assured the Chiefs and people of Dwabeng of his full support and also promised to support the community in any way he can.

He also pleaded with the people to imbed in themselves a good maintenance culture to preserve the facility.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mrs. Barbara Oteng-Gyasi expressed her joy at the completion of the project and called upon parents and guardians to enroll their children of school-going age.

The MP, however, expressed her disappointment at the outcome of the just ended Presidential and Parliamentary elections.
