Ghana’s international, Baba Abdul Rahman has joined Reading FC from Chelsea for a season-long loan spell.
The defender has today extended his Chelsea contract to 2023 but will have to spend the 2021/2022 football season away from Stamford Bridge.
He has been signed by Reading FC for the new season to help the side push to secure promotion to the Premier League at the end of the season.
“We are very pleased to confirm that left-back Baba Rahman has joined Reading Football Club on a season-long loan from Chelsea, subject to the normal ratification procedures from the relevant football authorities.
“The 27-year-old has represented the Blues in the Premier League and Champions League, as well as bringing with him top-flight experience in Germany, France, Spain and Greece – and now embarks on a new challenge in Berkshire as a Royal,” Reading FC announced on Friday.
According to Baba Rahman, he is pleased with the move and will play his heart out to help the team.
