Prestea Huni-Valley Assembly Presents Medical Equipment To Health Directorate

The Prestea Huni-Valley Municipal Assembly led by Hon. Isaac Dasmani(PhD.) has presented some medical equipment to the Prestea Huni-Valley Municipal Health Directorate.

The equipment includes stretcher, Haemoglobin meter, Glucometer, Puloc Oximeter, Sterilizer, Dressing set, Digital B.P Apparatus, Manual B.P Apparatus, Forceps old Kidney Dishes, Tape measure, Stethoscope (ordinary), Stethoscope Digital, Ward screen, Wheelchair, Body Thermometer, Infrared Thermometer, Babies Weighing scale, hanging weighing scale, toddlers weighing scale, Episiotomy scissors, Delivery set, Delivery bed and 3000 pieces of cord clamp.

The assistance from the Assembly forms part of the Assembly’s commitment to health Delivery systems in the Municipality.

Presenting the equipment, Mr. Edward K. Amoah, an Assistant Director for the Assembly who presented the equipment on behalf of the Municipal Chief Executive asserted that the MCE was optimistic that the equipment would go a long way to enrich health care delivery within the Municipality and improve the well-being of the citizen in line with the development goals.

Receiving the equipment, the Health Director of the Prestea Huni-Valley Municipal, Mr. Emmanuel Tamakloe was appreciative of the Assembly and the MCE for their support towards health Delivery systems in the Municipality.

He was optimistic that the equipment would be put to good use to improve upon health conditions of the people of Atwereboanda.

The Director confirmed that the equipment would be sent to Atwereboanda to help Community Based Health Planning and services Compound (CHPS compound) more functional.

Atwereboanda CHPS compound is a new facility built by the Assembly but has not been in use due to the absence of certain facilities and consumables.

According to the health director, they have already dispatched staff to the facility and the Regional Medical stores have given them start-up drugs that will help them commence operation at the facility quickly.

He prayed that the cordial relationship that existed between the directorate and the Assembly continues.
