Give Me Hope Foundation, a Non Governmental Organisation, organises free medical screening which benefited residents in Agbogbloshie and its environs.
Dr Gloria Amegatch who serves as the Vice President of the NGO said the common conditions diagnosed were malaria, chest and waist pains, high blood pressure, diabetes, sleeping disorders, malnutrition in children, anemia, dental and eye problems.
The many beneficiaries, who had their health conditions checked said they were much enthused about the kind support and appreciated the effort from the organisation in taking the healthcare of its people into kind consideration. They urged the team to continue with the good work.
In an interview with Joy news, at Agbogbloshie , Mr. Wisdom Dordoe the CEO of Give Me Hope Foundation said the event form part of activities they were undertaking towards making life meaningful for people, especially children, orphans and the other less privileged individuals in our society.
Mr Wisdom said the organisation was established eight years ago, during which it has awarded scholarships to more than 650 needy students in the slum neighborhoods, fight justice for people and rescued many victims from prison. It has also organized mentorship programs for over 5,000 students nationwide.
The foundation, earmark for it good works has also embark and initiate “Back to School Drive” aim to take 500 children to school by close of the year 2020
