King Faisal is looking at hiring experienced gaffer Francis Oti Akenteng as their new head coach following the sacking of Serbian tactician Slavisa Bozicic, club Chief Executive Officer Anwar Sadat has revealed.
The Kumasi-based club on Sunday morning announced via a statement on their Twitter page that they have decided to sever ties with the Serbian tactician as well as dissolved the technical team.
While it didn’t come as a surprise due to the successive bad results from the team, the club is now faced with finding a replacement before the next game in the Ghana Premier League.
Today, King Faisal CEO Anwar Sadat has revealed that there are ongoing talks to appoint Oti Akenteng as the new head coach for the team.
“It’s true we have dissolved our technical team. Our performance is very bad in the Ghana premier league. Though they are good coaches. We are in talks with former GFA Technical Director Francis Oti Akenteng as King Faisal Head Coach and Andy Sinason as Assistant coach,” he told Hot FM in an interview on Monday morning.
Meanwhile, sources are reporting that a deal could be reached between King Faisal and Oti Akenteng in the next 24-hours.
