Social Media Users Mount Pressure On Akuffo Addo With #FixTheCountry

Amid the concerns over the high cost of living and the exorbitant increment of prices and taxes in the country, some social media influencers have taken upon themselves to use their influence to pile pressure on the government to fix some of the challenges the ordinary citizens are faced with.

Old-aged power crises, popularly known as ‘Dumsor’ have resurrected and many jobs are struggling to survive as a result, amidst the acute water shortage that the country faces.

As if that is not enough, Ghanaians were welcomed into the new month (May) with new taxes and fuel increment, which will lead to hikes in transportations fares.

The above-mentioned problems have triggered Kalyjay who tweets with the handle @gyaigyimi to start a campaign on social media with the hashtag on Twitter #Fixthecountry, that has kept social media influencers talking with many who have already gotten so much interest from other social media platforms and the mainstream media, and it is been trending for the past 24hours on Ghana twitter, Nigerian Twitter and trending number two on worldwide Twitter.

Some media personals and celebrities have tweeted in support of the campaign.
