Hearts of Oak on Saturday, December 19, put up a resilient performance to ensure they defeated King Faisal 2-1 in the Ghana Premier League.
The Phobians were in action at the Ohene Ameyaw Park in Techiman to honour a date on matchday six of the ongoing 2020/2021 Ghanaian top-flight league.
In a first half dominated by Hearts of Oak, the team went into the break with a 1-0 lead courtesy of a strike from Benjamin Afutu.
After recess, an improved King Faisal side managed to equalize to draw level in the 49th minute when Kwadwo Frimpong powered home a header.
In the pulsating encounter that ensued from there on, Hearts of Oak had the last laugh with youngster Umar Manaf converting a penalty kick to give the visitors a deserved 2-1 win.
