Following the rejection of President Akufo-Addo’s nominee as Municipal Chief Executive (MCE )of Yendi, information is rife about an alleged plan to impose Alhaji Kums on the people.

The embattled MCE failed to secure two-thirds out 41 total votes cast on Friday, September 19, 2021.

He polled 21 YES votes against 20 NO votes compelling the second run of his confirmation is scheduled to take place on Thursday, September 30, 2021.

But, deep-throat sources at the assembly revealed that Alhaji Kums will be rejected for the second time by Assemblymembers.

According to a report by Voice of Dagbon Media, some party bigwigs have thronged the municipality to manipulate the confirmation of the Presidents nominee for the Yendi Municipal Assembly.

The report sighted CEO of the Small Loans and Microfinance Center (MASLOC), Hajia Abibata Shani Mahama leading a delegation from the presidency to ensure the confirmation of Alhaji Kums at all cost.

“Dagbang Voice Media can authoritatively report the plan machinations some people are hatching within and outside Yendi to thwart the smooth confirmation of the Yendi MCE.

“Information available to us indicates that Hajia Abibata Shani Mahama would be leading a powerful delegation to Yendi tomorrow on the orders of the president to make sure the nominee gets confirmation since the MP is in UK attending to the health of his mother,” Dagbang Voice Media reported.
