Our Names Are The Code To Our Soul-Spokewel.

The Founder and General Overseer of the Overcomers Royal Sanctuary Int. and lecturer at the Living Faith Theological Seminary, Apostle Joshua Darko Spokewel has warned parents to desist from the habit of naming their children after people because of their wealth and fame, without recourse to the source of their riches.

According to him, one’s name is the code to his or her soul, and every name given to a child could determine the destiny of that child.

He advised that before naming a child after someone, what the parents need to consider first and foremost is the inward character of that person above anything else, as that person’s way of life will always be perceived on the child.

He said names carry a lot of power and spiritual connotations and it will therefore be prudent for parents to critically consider the kind of names they give to their children.

“Nowadays, parents want to name their children after people because of their riches and fame without considering the source of their wealth and the impact and meaning of the name”, he bemoaned.

Apostle Joshua Spokewel gave the advice at a special Dedication and Naming ceremony in Agona Swedru over the weekend.
