Hasaacas Ladies FC have received a cash sum of $10,000 from Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia as the team gears up to start its campaign in the CAF Women’s Champions League.
As Champions of the Ghana Women’s Premier League, the club is set to represent the country in the maiden edition of the CAF Champions League set to thrill fans of women’s football this year.
Having followed calls for support from officials of the club, Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has extended a helping hand.
Through aid, the Vice President has today presented a cheque of $10,000 to the Women’s Premier League club to support the side in the continental competition.
“The club on Monday morning received a cash donation of $10,000.00 from His Excellency, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia in support of our quest to represent Ghana in the WAFU Zone B Women’s Championship,” the club has announced in a statement on its Twitter page.
The statement adds, “Everyone at Sekondi Hasaacas FC extends appreciation to Honorable Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the Second gentleman of the land for his generous extension to support us on this worthy cause.
“It’s a big thank you from the GIANTS of the WEST!.”
Hasaacas Ladies FC are poised to make Ghana proud in the Women’s CAF Champions League and are pleading for more support to make their campaign a success.
