Ghana captain, Andre Ayew is set to arrive in Doha this morning ahead of his anticipated move to Qatar Stars League Champions Al Sadd SC.
The highly-rated forward at the end of last month officially became a free agent as his contract with English Championship outfit Swansea City expired.
After weeks of speculation over his next destination, it is now clear Andre Ayew will be playing for Al Sadd SC next season.
According to a statement from the Qatari giants, they say they have reached an agreement to sign the former Olympic Marseille star.
“Al Sadd have reached an agreement to sign Ghanaian star Andre Ayew. The player will arrive in Doha in the morning to complete the routine procedures, followed by the signing of the contract and the official announcement,” the club announced via Twitter on Wednesday.
Andre Ayew, 31, is joining Al Sadd SC with a lot of experienced and will have a big role to play for the club coached by Barcelona legend Xavi next season.
The Black Stars captain prior to his last stint with Swansea City, had successful spells at Olympic Marseille, West Ham United, as well as Fenerbahçe.
