Ghana FA announces prize money for 20/21 MTN FA Cup

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has announced that the winner of this season’s MTN FA Cup competition will take home a sum of GHS80,000 as the prize money.

Already midway through the 2020/2021 football season, the Ghanaian domestic cup competition has commenced and set to gain momentum in the next few weeks.

According to the football governing body, all 92 clubs who participated in the preliminary round are entitled to an appearance fee of Ghc1,500  in cash and Ghc500 worth of MTN airtime.

Ahead of the Round 16 games, the Ghana FA in a communique on Thursday afternoon has announced that the overall winner of the competition will receive GHS80,0000.

“The winner of the 2020/21 MTN FA Cup would receive GH¢80,000 as prize money with the runner-up set to take home GH¢30,000 cash. An amount of 1,000,000.00GHc will be presented to the winning Club ahead of their participation in the Africa Club championship,” part of a communique on the GFA has confirmed.
