There has been a change in the Ghana Premier League table with delightful and shocking results from this weekend’s matchday 14 matches.
The 2020/2021 league season that commenced last year has gradually shaped up and already headed for the second half of the campaign.
This weekend, matchday 14 games have been played with some teams winning tough matches to move higher on the league table.
The first match of the weekend was played on Saturday afternoon with Ashanti Gold SC drawing goalless with WAFA SC in Sogakope.
Today, there have been as many as five matches being play. The tough encounter between Dreams FC and Aduana Stars was played at the Dawu Park.
In a game where Joseph Esso netted a brace, Dreams FC ended up winning 4-2 at the end of the game. As a result, the team has now climbed to third on the Ghana Premier League table.
Elsewhere at the Akoon Park, it was a fierce battle when Medeama SC hosted Bechem United. Coach Samuel Boadu’s team impressed and defeated the team from Bechem by two goals to nothing.
At the Cape Coast Stadium, Karela United continued their impressive form in the Ghana Premier League with a 2-1 win against Ebusua Dwarfs.
As a result, the team from Anyinase now sits top of the league table with 25 points.
In the other matches played today, Berekum Chelsea beat Techiman Eleven Wonders while Inter Allies fought back to draw 2-2 with Liberty Professionals in Dansoman.
Tomorrow, Legon Cities FC will host King Faisal at the Accra Sports Stadium before Olympics face Elmina Sharks on Tuesday to complete the matchday.
