“They must redeem themselves in 2024” – Mahama takes on EC again

The former President of the Republic of Ghana, Mr. John Dramani Mahama has continued his nationwide Thank You tour today in the Greater Accra Region with a call on the Electoral Commission to redeem itself in 2024.

Hon. John Dramani Mahama, after the loss of the 2020 elections has been fond of communicating to the public certain actions of the electoral commission he believed didn’t go right.

On his latest two-day tour which has started today Tuesday, 8th November 2021, he passed through the XYZ Radio in the morning to grant an interview.

The leader of the New Democratic Congress in the interview has said that, in no way has he ever hated the EC boss, Madam Jean Mensa nor his team.

“I don’t hate the electoral Commission or Jean Mensa. I want to make sure they are the number one Electoral Commission in the whole of West Africa because that is the perception of the EC,” he said.

Hon. John Dramani Mahama has also indicated clearly that, his intentions are pure and not that of violence since recently some political and individual bodies have insisted the police arrest him for false claims.

He said actions after the 2020 elections is to make Ghanaians vigilant and also revive the EC to work with relentless effort, for it has failed and has to redeem itself in 2024.

“Everything that I say is to make them sit up, they must redeem themselves in 2024 so when I am pointing out their mistakes it is not that I hate them,” he told the presenter on Radio XYZ.

The tour in the Greater Accra Region will continue tomorrow.
