Three Deprived Communities Get Mechanized boreholes
Three deprived communities in the Assin North District in the Central Region have been provided with mechanized boreholes to help solve the problem of scarcity of water facing people in those communities.
The beneficiary communities are Subrinso, Ankaa, and Kweku Baah. The initiative was taken by Action Against Rural Poverty (AARP)-a Ghanaian-based Non-Governmental Organization in conjunction with an Italian philanthropist Mr. Amaini and in collaboration with the Assin North District Assembly.
The Ankaa project was funded by Osvaldo and Sergio while the Subrinso project was funded by Astore and the Kweku Bash project was also funded by Redi, all donors from Italy.
Handing over the projects to the various communities, the District Chief Executive for the area, Hon. Charles Ohene Andor charged leaders of the various communities to take good care of the projects to ensure a longer life span.
Accompanied by the Planning Officer of the Assembly Ms. Vivian Omina Poku, the DCE commended the donors for their support and assured them that his offices are always open for more of such support in the future.
